J. Mark McVey made his Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in 'Les Miserables' after having won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actor while on tour.  He was also the first American to perform the role in London's West End.  In 2008, Mark reprised the role with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to sold out crowds at the Hollywood Bowl and again in May, 2011, in the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables where he won the Ovation Award and the BroadwayWorld.com Award on his way to eclipsing 3,268 performances in Les Mis.

J. Mark McVey made his Carnegie Hall Debut with Mr. Marvin Hamlisch and continues to perform with numerous symphonies around the country and the world. J. Mark's Television credits include America's Got Talent and All My Children.  Mark made his PBS Debut with the Boston Pops and followed that performance with the PBS Christmas Special for the U.S. Military Troupes where he was featured with Marvin Hamlisch and The National Symphony Orchestra.  Mark also appeared in the PBS Special  ‘A Tale of Two Cities in Concert.’  Other Broadway and NY Credits include; Captain Walker in The Who's "Tommy," Tommy Tunes' "The Best Little Whore House Goes Public," the Off-Broadway revival of "Chess," "Hey Love" the critically acclaimed musical review of Mary Rogers' music, conceived and directed by Richard Maltby, Jr., "A Helluva Town" the Bernstein review at Rainbow & Stars, "The Show Goes On", with Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt and Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil staring Margaret Whiting.  National Tours and Regional works include: Carousel, Chess, My Fair Lady, South Pacific, Seven Brides and the Hal Prince production of "Show Boat".

J. Mark McVey earned a gold record for his participation on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra  recording of 'The Lost Christmas Eve,’ and also has 3 solo CD’s: “Broadway and Beyond” “If You Really Knew Me” and “One Among Few”.  Mark continues to record with, “The McVey Family Christmas,” due out Dec. 2012, and a collaborative project, with Ernie Haase and The Signature Sound, due early 2013.
